Policies


Ordering
All prices for products are listed in U.S. Dollars. Orders can be paid with Visa or MasterCard. Personal checks, money orders and cashier’s checks are also acceptable (please note that product(s) will not be shipped until payment has been received).

Taxes
Unless otherwise stated on the face hereof, stated prices for Products do not include any customs duties, sales, use, value added, excise, federal, state, local or other taxes. By law, Split Red Records charges Illinois state sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses within the state of Illinois. The current state tax rate is 9.75%.

Shipping
Orders placed Monday-Thursday will be shipped within 24 hours. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will be shipped the next business day (often Monday, excluding postal holidays). Orders placed early in the day are often shipped the very same day. You should receive your order within 1 - 5 days of ordering. We will not reship an order until 15 days after the original date of shipment. Orders are shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS), except to those orders to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, and APO/AFO addresses. Prices for shipping/handling are listed along with each product.

Backorders
We do our best to avoid backorders. If a backorder does occur, you will be sent an email informing you of the backorder (provided you have a valid email address). Backorders may be cancelled at anytime before the item is shipped. Except for special circumstances, we do not ship partial orders. Your entire order will be shipped when the backordered product is back in stock. You will not be charged until all items are shipped.

Component resale
Customers shall not engage in the business of reselling products purchased from this site, except upon express prior written authorization of Split Red Records.

Returns and Exchanges
Split Red Records may accept returns or exchanges within 30 days from the date of delivery, after which no returns may be authorized. If there is a problem with a product you ordered please contact customer service at CustomerService@SplitRedRecords.com or by phone at 847-498-8960 and request a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and instructions to return the product. The RMA number is necessary to coordinate returns with our warehouse and accounting departments. All returned products must be returned with original packaging that has not been written on or defaced. Freight must be prepaid using UPS or FedEx and insured.

Canceling an order
Most orders are released to our warehouse within 20 minutes of placing the order, after the order has cleared our fraud prevention and credit department. You can attempt a cancellation by calling customer service at 847-498-8960 or sending an e-mail to CustomerService@SplitRedRecords.com. Many times orders are released from the warehouse within minutes of submitting the order, so we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order. You will receive a confirmation if your order was cancelled.

If you still receive the order, then you may refuse delivery to avoid the cost of return shipping. There is a $5 or 15% restock fee, whichever is greater, for all refused shipments to cover costs associated with processing your order and return. If you do not refuse delivery, then you must get a RA number for return. Restock fees will apply. Shipping costs are not refundable.

We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you'll find valuable.
